As an equity analyst and fund manager, my job was to read forecasts and decide which ones to believe. That's how I build yours.
Assumptions you can defend
Every number traces back to a stated assumption and a source. When a lender asks "where does this come from?", the answer is already on the page.
The downside, shown honestly
Credit teams run their own stress tests. I run them first, so you can show how the business copes if sales are slower or customers pay late.
Numbers that tie out
The balance sheet balances, the cash flow reconciles, and the charts match the tables. Six years in audit makes that a habit, not a hope.
Four steps, all remote
By phone, video and email, so I can work with you anywhere in the UK.
Free call
Twenty minutes on the business, what the document is for and your deadline.
Fixed quote and brief
A fixed fee in writing and a one-page questionnaire for the facts I need from you.
First draft
The complete document, counted from when I receive your answers.
Review and finalise
We go through it together and I make your changes before it goes to the lender.
Accountant first, then investor
I trained as a chartered accountant and spent six years in accountancy, audit, and business and financial analysis. I then moved into investment, as a senior equity analyst for six years and later as a fund manager, assessing companies' forecasts for a living.
Gregory Analytics brings both sides together. You deal with me directly from the first call to the final document. Nothing is outsourced.
Your client, looked after
For accountants, solicitors and commercial finance brokers whose clients need a plan or forecast to get funded.
Refer a client by email- I won't compete for your client. I don't do accounts, tax returns or bookkeeping.
- Fixed fee in writing before any work starts, so there are no surprises for your client.
- You stay informed. I'll copy you in on progress if your client agrees.
- A lender-ready pack that brokers can submit without rework.
- One point of contact: me, from the first call to the final draft.
Before you book
What do I need to provide?
A short call, answers to a one-page questionnaire, and any figures you already have, such as recent accounts, quotes or a draft lease. For start-ups, I research the market and local prices myself.
Is VAT added to the fee?
No. Gregory Analytics is not VAT-registered, so the fixed fee is the full price.
How long does it take?
A first draft takes 7 working days for a cash-flow forecast, 10 for a business plan and 15 for a feasibility study, counted from receiving your answers. Tell me on the call if you have a tighter deadline.
Will the bank accept it?
No one can promise a lending decision. What I can promise is a plan that is internally consistent, with every assumption explained, which is what credit teams look for.
What if my figures change?
Two rounds of changes are included. Bigger changes later, such as a new site or a different loan, can be quoted as a fixed-fee update.
Can you work with my accountant?
Yes. I'm happy to use figures from your accountant and keep them informed.
Is this right for me?
Probably not if you only need a free template, or want a plan written without any numbers. Probably yes if someone is going to read your forecast before deciding to lend, invest or approve.
Do you do valuations or financial models?
No. I focus on cash-flow forecasts, business plans and feasibility studies.
